Lead the Kitchen Team at The Exchange Hotel

We are seeking a skilled Executive Chef to join our team in Kalgoorlie. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing food operations, ensuring high-quality menu items, and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.

About the Role:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring seamless execution of menu items and exceptional customer service.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to develop and implement new recipes, menus, and culinary concepts.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
  • Maintain accurate stock control, minimize wastage, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and respect among colleagues.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to HACCP protocols, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, identifying and addressing potential risks and hazards.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff, focusing on skills development and career growth.
  • Monitor performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve productivity and efficiency.

Personal Presentation and Performance:

  • Present yourself professionally, adhering to the hotel's dress code and grooming standards.
  • Maintain a 'can-do' attitude, responding positively to challenges and opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a similar role or as a senior chef.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving business success.

Salary: $63,000 - $76,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications, skills, and experience.
