The role

We have one full-time position available in the 3-5-year-old Kindergarten age group and another position remaining in the 2 -3-year-old age group (20 children). Both roles already have another room leader, so you will work as a team to cover the day.

The centre boasts a large, spacious outdoor area, terrific indoor environments adorned with natural elements, and open-ended spaces where children can develop strength and self-confidence.

The centre is easily accessible by public transport with a bus stop out the front and a train station a few minutes walk away.

The service's philosophy is around nurturing children's interests with warmth and care, encouraging empowerment through child-initiated experiences, and fostering strong connections with families and the local Manly community.

With a mission to inspire and nurture everyone to achieve their full potential, high-quality programming and practices, collaboration, and training opportunities are prioritised, and a culture of recognition and reward is promoted. Staff turnover is very low, with the average staff member being with the company for anywhere from 5 to 10 years

What we need from you

This full-time role will suit someone diploma-qualified or working towards a bachelor's degree. You will ooze passion for working with young children, be dedicated and confident, and naturally inspire and motivate your team positively.

In addition, you will need to have:

  • The completion of an ACECQA-approved Diploma or actively studying towards a Bachelor's Degree in Education (Early Childhood)
  • Solid knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and QKLG
  • Several years of experience working in a long daycare
  • Ability to work on a rotating roster (630am-6 pm)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with all stakeholders
