What you’ll do

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer that will lead the quality assurance initiatives that underpins our payment systems. You will work within a squad of Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Software Engineers to shape and drive a culture of high-quality and ensure quality feature delivery through test automation and business processes.

This team is cross functional and your remit will be to influence your discipline across the team. The sorts of questions we like to hear are how you encourage developers to write the appropriate test cases during the development process? How can you sign off code quality before a main merge? How can you improve a story to remove ambiguity? How can we ensure less production impacts by improving system design and deployment strategy?

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality payment features.
  • Demonstrate adaptability by working across various aspects of the technology stack.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and practices.
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of the Payments Platform.
  • Engage in problem-solving and troubleshooting to maintain platform reliability and stability

What you’ll bring

  • 5 + years experience as a Senior QA Engineer
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of modern engineering practices and principals in delivering scalable and efficient software
  • Demonstrable experience in component, integration and system testing
  • Can articulate and practice the benefits of unit testing, TDD and BDD, and be able to follow enterprise applications written in C# and be the custodian of the cucumber automation framework
  • Demonstrate experience with working with cloud-native technologies such as Azure or AWS
  • Good understanding of Agile & Lean delivery principles. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to stakeholders
