Automate and Lead: Senior QA Engineer

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to join our team at News Corp Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead the development of our automation strategy, refine our existing automation framework, and drive innovation in our testing processes.

Your Role
In this role, you will be responsible for leading a small team, refining and implementing our automation strategy, expanding our automation footprint to a high level of maturity, and presenting and reporting to senior stakeholders. You will also manage automation resources, adopt and drive an Automation 1st Policy, hire automation resources as required, build a centralised Automation Community of Practice, and increase coverage with automation assets compared to manual assets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A solid working knowledge of code branching and sequencing
- Extensive experience working with GitHub and multiple automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, Playwright
- Strong negotiation skills with a desire to innovate
- Solid understanding of technology operations and strategy
- Project Management experience is not required but beneficial
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills and a strong ability to manage senior relationships
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
