The opportunity

As part of continued expansion within our Research & Development group, we wish to engage an experienced Project Manager, to guide us in the effective management of a portfolio of scientific projects, covering discovery and early development of therapeutic protein drugs, particularly therapeutic antibodies. On a day-to-day basis, this role will see you working locally with a team of dedicated scientists, working to execute on these projects and with global project stakeholders that help to define governance, budgets, and schedules.

As a Project Manager, you will have exceptional communication and negotiation skills coupled with a demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders to effectively drive projects forward and within expected timelines
 

How you’ll spend your day

Reporting to the Scientific Operations Lead, your responsibilities will include:

•    Plan, coordinate, and execute scientific projects from inception to completion.
•    Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
•    Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to meet objectives.
•    Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
•    Consult with stakeholders, including researchers, clients, and regulatory bodies.
•    Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and updates to senior management.
•    Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
•    Identify and mitigate project risks

Your experience and qualifications

•    A bachelor’s degree in any discipline
•    Project management and/ or administration qualifications, is essential
•    Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
•    Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management
•    Proven experience in the delivery of small to medium size projects
•    Comfortable presenting, facilitating, interacting, and enforcing governance across various stakeholder groups
•    Solutions orientated leader who develops and leverages productive working relationships with direct reports, peers, and stakeholders
•    Ability to effectively lead project team under matrix organisation structure
