In this role, you'll:
Have the chance to accomplish your dream of delivering solutions that impact millions. 2 million passenger journeys per day to be specific
Bring a fresh way of thinking to end-to-end procurement for the Opal Next Generation major customer technology program. You will drive and implement innovative, outcomes driven commercial approaches to maximise value for money and make it easier to do business with government.
Address and balance customer and community requirements with regulatory, policy, government, stakeholder, and operational requirements, ensuring procurement and commercial procedures and processes meet all stakeholder needs, while anticipating and responding to issues likely to affect the delivery or importance of the Government’s priorities.

Fixed term, full time role to 1 August 2025 | Hybrid work - based in our Elizabeth Street Sydney office.

About you
A pioneer with the foresight, imagination and appetite to be part of something big and brand new, the Opal Next Generation project. You’re known for being a trusted advisor with comprehensive knowledge of best practice ICT procurement strategies, frameworks, and policies together with a proven track record in coordinating, negotiating and managing a range of complex contracts across the lifecycle, and the capacity to communicate, influence, negotiate and represent Transport for NSW with authority and credibility.
An excellent communicator and influencer, you’re a highly collaborative people leader able to lead and inspire a team into a new and unknown arena. You possess extensive experience in a similar commercial role (high volume, complex digital transactions, IT/OT, digital integration context).
