The location for this role is in an Indian restaurant in Canberra’s Civic Centre.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals who are ready to start immediately. As a 1st Year Apprentice Chef, you will be mentored by experienced professionals and receive hands-on training in a dynamic kitchen environment. This apprenticeship offers a structured training program designed to help you build a solid foundation in commercial cookery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes
  • Learn essential culinary techniques and kitchen operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Follow recipes and standards to ensure high-quality food production
  • Engage in various aspects of the hospitality environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • A passion for food and a strong desire to secure a long-term career as a chef is essential.
  • An interest in learning most facets of the hospitality environment is also essential.
  • The ability to communicate on all levels is necessary.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate or the ability to obtain is essential.
