Location: Sydney CBD / Hybrid
Salary Package: $140,000 to $160,000 + super

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of Actuarial, this Business Analyst will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive review of processes and providing strategic recommendations for business improvement and development. Concurrently, you'll assume responsibility for active projects, particularly in Product Development, with a priority on expediting trades projects for seamless integration into upcoming product launches. In time your role will transition to managing change processes, product development, and testing of the underwriting system, along with any unforeseen IT projects that may arise, solidifying your position as a key driver of positive transformation within the organisation.

Ultimately you will be instrumental in fine tuning process for product implementation and building the development and testing capabilities for the organisation. This is a critical stage for the company enabling them to scale and ensure their continued, future success.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive process reviews, providing strategic recommendations for business improvement and development.
  • Take charge of active projects, emphasizing Product Development and expediting trades projects for integration.
  • Transition to managing change processes, product development, and testing of the underwriting system.
  • Contribute to fine-tuning processes for product implementation and developing testing capabilities for the organization.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and build a rater within the Insurance product lifecycle.
  • Work alongside Product Heads to develop wordings and referral rules.
  • Build the Product into an IT spec for Entsia implementation

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for this role should have a proven track record as a Business Analyst with experience in testing within a Commercial Insurance context. Preferably, they would have successfully undertaken multiple product development or implementation projects. Within the Insurance product lifecycle, the candidate will have strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate teams to develop a rater, working alongside Product Heads to formulate wordings and referral rules.  You will need to then have compiled products into IT specifications for implementation through Entisa encompassing rates, acceptance criteria, referral criteria, and a defined question set; amongst others. Other underwriting systems will be considered.  You will be an effective communicator with attention to detail and strong technical writing ability.
