About the Role
We're seeking a dedicated Head of Cricket to lead our expanding program in 2025.
This role will be responsible for the leadership and management of all aspects of the College’s primary and secondary Cricket programs including coaching, training, operations, communication and administration, as well as providing general administrative support into the College Sports and Activities office and programs.
Some of the other Key roles will include –
Cricket Program Leadership and Management:
- Oversee all aspects of JPC’s cricket program, including TAS, Junior TAS, club, and junior development competitions.
- Develop and implement a high-quality cricket curriculum for students from Prep to Year 12, ensuring continuous skill development.
- Lead the recruitment, development, and mentoring of cricket coaches, ensuring alignment with JPC's values and goals.
- Coordinate the planning and execution of cricket tournaments, interstate and international tours, and home matches.
- Manage cricket operations including equipment, uniforms, team lists, and venue bookings.
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, including students, parents, coaches, and external bodies.
- Provide administrative support for events, risk assessments, and student achievement reporting.
Cricket Coaching and Development:
- Lead the Cricket Academy for Junior, Intermediate, and Senior squads, ensuring player development through structured programs.
- Coach the First XI team, including pre-season and in-season training and match preparation.
- Ensure TAS/Junior TAS squads are prepared in all areas, including skill development, tactics, and leadership.
- Support coach development through training sessions, recruitment, and mentoring.

Our ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and committed individual who is seeking to join and lead our Cricket program in 2025, with an emphasis on training, games, and administrative support. While there are required sessions for training, games, and essential admin tasks, we understand the importance of flexibility and are open to discussing options that best suit the right candidate. Whether you're interested in a casual or part-time role, we aim to create a schedule that accommodates your existing commitments while ensuring the program’s needs are met. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students and willing to collaborate on a structure that works for both you and the college.
Skills and Attributes:
- Passionate and energetic about cricket, with a focus on player development.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple aspects of the cricket program simultaneously.
- Aligned with JPC’s values and mission, acting in the best interests of the College at all times.
- Competent in using digital platforms and applications for communication, reporting, and operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Cricket Coaches Australia – Level 2 Representative Coaching Course or equivalent.
- Current Senior First Aid certificate.
- Blue Card/Working with Children check.
