**SUMMER SPORT COACHES**
**CASUAL
**Cranbrook School is seeking outstanding, passionate and experienced Sports Coaches for
the summer sports season to coach:

- Cricket
- Basketball
- Tennis

**ABOUT THE POSITION**

Cranbrook School is committed to motivating and developing athletes from beginners
through to elite level. Coaching will require you to be available for before and/or after
school training commitments, work on Saturdays and school holiday coaching.

Sports Coaches actively support the mission and values of Cranbrook School in developing
and mentoring our students to reach their potential as athletes and young people. Your role
involves developing and improving the physical skills, decision making abilities and positive
sporting behaviours of our students to enable them to successfully compete within school
- based competitions and beyond.

Employment is on a casual basis for the 2024 summer sports season. Remuneration will be
determined by your experience and qualifications.

**ABOUT YOU**

You have a demonstrated record of being a dynamic and successful coach in your chosen
sport, and be enthusiastic, patient and focused on technique.

With excellent communication skills and an ability to engage with all stakeholders in a
responsive and inclusive manner.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**

- At least one year of experience coaching in a school or club
- Ability to develop and implement programs set by the Director of Sport P-12 and the

relevant Head of Sport
- An active interest in and commitment to the promotion of children and youth sport
- Ability to role model effective behaviours while acknowledging professional boundaries
- Ability to communicate in a professional and timely manner
- Reliability and commitment
- A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural

incident
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
- A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when

engaging with children.

Demonstrated knowledge of high-performance best practice, including awareness of
developing trends in coaching technique, skill development and program growth will be
advantageous.
