About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available in our CDR (Consumer Data Right) team. As a CDR Product Owner, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational processes within our CDR solution to monitor and maintain compliance, ongoing development, and prioritisation of the product backlog to achieve on time delivery for new compliance obligations and delivery of continuous improvement opportunities.

The team is responsible for delivering and maintaining AGL’s Data Holder functions and processes under the Federal Government’s Consumer Data Right framework. This includes working with delivery teams to design, build and launch full-scale solutions for the expansion of the CDR regime, as well as catering to all changes to the CDR Rules and Standards.

The team are also required to work with a large stakeholder set that includes legal and regulatory advisors, third party vendors and our digital and technology partners to ensure AGL stays on top of the CDR landscape as it continues to evolve.

About you’ll be doing:

  • Working with technical teams and vendors to deliver and maintain functions that meet Consumer Data Right Rules and Standards

  • Advocating for the best outcomes of our customers in Government and Industry forums

  • Engaging with Data Recipients (ADRs) to resolve integration and operational issues surfaced through the Service Management Portal

  • Working with legal and regulatory advisors to understand and document AGL’s CDR obligations.

  • Engaging with and responding to Regulators (ACCC, OAIC, and AEMO) wherever required

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in leading teams and inspiring high levels of employee performance and engagement.

  • Proven strategic and innovative thinking.

  • Experience working with Agile methodology and Lean/Six Sigma process improvement.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience delivering projects impacting cross functional teams.

  • Demonstrable quality of solution approach in delivering technological and process improvements (e.g. Scalable, Foundational)

  • Experience working with third party vendors to deliver functions that are fit for purpose and adequately tested.

  • Deep operational knowledge of energy industry processes and/or Consumer Data Right is highly desirable.
