Your opportunity to join our team

At the Edinburgh Parks Further Processing Plant, we are currently seeking a dynamic Production Scheduler/Analyst to join our team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient scheduling of production activities to meet customer demand while influencing the production flow to achieve best practice processing.

You will be responsible for managing daily production schedules and allocating raw materials in alignment with company bill of materials (BOMs), all while prioritizing time deadlines. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with inventory teams to ensure that stock holdings meet company specifications for UBD and stock on hand, effectively managing time-sensitive inventory requirements.

Key aspect will involve calculating, analysing, and distributing production work orders , emphasizing the importance of meeting deadlines to maintain operational efficiency. Through your interpretation of this data, you’ll identify opportunities and provide insight into areas for improvement and collaborate cross-functionally with teams to implement strategic initiatives

Daily Tasks

  • Manage and allocate large and varied inventories to match daily production schedules and BOMS
  • Develop and maintain daily production schedules to optimise workflow, ensuring plans can achieve completion of production goals.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage raw material and packaging inventory levels and optimize the sites inventory levels
  • Provide input to the Production team regarding production capacities, raw materials, stocks, and yields.
  • Offer data insights to production leadership teams, highlighting past performances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate and work with production team to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Prepare and present production reports, metrics and performance indicators to leadership team
  • Ensuring daily finalised shop order reports are sent out in time to leadership teams and be an active participant on the investigation on variances
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills to interpret data accurately, enabling informed decision-making and process optimization.
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of all production processes on site, from receivals to dispatch.
  • Analyse historical material usage and system BOMs to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure clear and effective communication of expected outcomes across all levels of the organizational chart.
  • Employ effective time management strategies to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently

You will bring to this role

  • Understanding of FMCG planning processes will be highly regarded.
  • Able to build new ways of working and information management.
  • Experience managing information related to raw materials, product-in-process, packaging materials, finished products, or packed stock.
  • Excellent skills with MS office specializing in Excel and Power BI
  • Experience of data analysis and data interrogation.
  • Able to look at current situation (the now) and what the future could be (a continuous improvement mindset).
  • Highly effective analytical skills and problem solving capabilities
  • Strong Communication Skills (Verbal and Written)
