Job Description

Nine’s Group Audience Insights team, is built to deliver a world-class audience insights capability to generate actionable insights with which to drive successful marketing, product and content development across the full publishing, broadcast, audio, client growth and product portfolio. 

Group Audience Insights is a full service in-house research team responsible for crafting and delivering actionable insights across Digital and Audio Product, Editorial/Programming and Marketing / Subs & Growth teams; and Client Growth insights being Trade Marketing, Powered (Strategy) and Sales.

Nine’s Group Audience Insights is a team of 9 multi-disciplinary insights professionals including qualitative and quantitative researchers, research operations and data visualisation; providing consultative services in addition to the management of audience insights infrastructure and tooling for the business; such as audience panels, data collection and analysis software and knowledge platforms.

This role is in the Group Audience Insights team within Nine’s Group Marketing organisation with a purpose of driving audience growth across Nine’s key verticals of TV, Publishing and Audio:

Fuel insight-led audience growth, underpinning decision making across Marketing, Content and Product stakeholders. The Research Executive is a junior/ entry level role and presents a unique opportunity to grow your experience working across both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies for Australia’s leading multi-platform media network, engaging audiences across television, catch-up TV, websites, newspapers, magazines and radio. Brands we hope you are familiar with  The role will be varied, providing significant exposure to different research-related projects and a variety of functions within a digitally-focused publishing business. This is the perfect role for anyone looking to build the foundational skills for a career in market/media/consumer research, UX, product strategy or analytics. Develop your skills in understanding an audience, their needs and motivations, and delivering value through engaging and delightful experiences and being a creative thinker.  Come up with ideas and try new ways of engaging an audience to generate insight.

Qualifications

Genuine interest in, and demonstrated understanding of the technical aspects of research - survey programming, data processing, dashboarding, data analysis Exposure to survey programming and data analysis Demonstrated success with qualitative data collection and analysis including various qualitative data collection methods (e.g. in-depth interviews, focus groups) and/ or online methods such as (diary studies) Demonstrated success with community moderation, creative copywriting and / or social media management Comfortable with ambiguity, be resourceful to solve problems and able to adjust to shifting deadlines and project goals  You’re across social media and community management trends (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, Be Real, Discord etc.)
