Snooze Management, based in Canterbury is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team.  

 This person will have complete, end-to-end ownership of projects. The ideal candidate has experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, multiple back-end languages and hardware integration. 

 You will have an in-depth knowledge of PHP 8 and Laravel 10, with a strong understanding of modern PHP development best practices, to oversee the development and implementation of scalable and efficient code, ensuring that these systems are secure, accessible, and meet the business requirements.

The successful candidate has: 

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.  
  • Excellent web development skills and the aptitude to learn Snooze systems with limited documentation available. 
  • Technical competence and working knowledge of web development practices in a complex environment. 
  • Proven experience developing, testing and maintaining web applications using Python, PHP, React, Laravel, and TypeScript. 
  • An understanding on how to integrate and interface with hardware components and devices. 
  • Experience with databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL in a Linux/AWS environment required. 
  • Experience in other web-based technology advantageous. 
  • Understanding of version control systems such as Git. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • The ability to work harmoniously in a team and to work alone, as required. 
  • A thirst for learning and retaining detailed information. 

Qualifications and Requirements. 

  • Formal education in IT, Computer Science, Web Development, or relevant field.  
  • Proficiency in PHP and its modern frameworks, particularly Laravel. 
  • Strong knowledge of React, Next.js and modern JavaScript frameworks. 
  • Experience with TypeScript for building scalable web applications. 
  • Hands-on experience with hardware integration and interfacing with hardware components. 
  • Agile certification advantageous.
