- **Based in Canterbury**:

- **Full time 38 hours per week**:

- **C**ontracted to June 2026**:

- **$88,288 gross per annum + super + generous salary packaging**

Are you a dedicated, passionate case worker with experience in providing holistic trauma informed care on an outreach basis? Want to make a real difference by supporting women impacted by the criminal justice system experiencing homelessness?

CRC is excited to be recruiting for our team of dedicated professionals working to help change women’s lives. And we’d love to hear from you.
- Play a key part in our program and contribute to long-lasting change for our clients and the community.
- Join a diverse and passionate team in a flexible and supportive organisation

We want to hear from people from all backgrounds, including those with lived experience of the criminal justice system. The skills and experiences of First Nations people will be particularly valued.

**The Opportunity**

As a Transition Worker in our Inner-City Women’s Transitional Service you’ll be at the heart of a high-impact team. Supported by a Program Manager, Senior Worker and teammates, you’ll use holistic case management to provide specialist case management support for women who are impacted by the criminal justice system and homelessness.

Using a throughcare model focusing on providing a continuum of support aimed to address the complex and diverse needs of women who have experienced involvement with the criminal justice system, your role includes:

- **Project and client support**: You’ll actively build positive relationships with community services and government departments, to source relevant support and options for women. Receiving referrals, holistic case management, project administration and troubleshooting will make up most of your day. You’ll approach every task with empathy, keeping our clients’ goals front and centre.
- **Creating community connections for clients**: Using an outreach model pre
- and post-release, you’ll play a vital role providing clients with practical and psychosocial supports. The goal? To ensure long-term supports, housing, reduce incarceration and reduce recidivism.
- **Data, administrative and assessment duties**: While the majority of this job involves client-facing duties, data collection will be an important part of your role. Supported by the Senior Worker, you’ll conduct general administrative duties, complying with Workplace Health and Safety, and updating and maintaining accurate case files.
- **Cultural safety**: You’ll work in culturally appropriate ways in recognition of the unique cultural needs and over-representation of First Nations people in the criminal justice system.

Your usual work hours will be Monday to Friday, with occasional out-of-hours work, as required.

**Why work for us?**
- Support programs that aim to break entrenched cycles of disadvantage, homelessness and imprisonment
- Be part of a community-based agency that has been delivering effective services in our field for over 70 years
- Join a dedicated, energetic team with a culture of trust, integrity and respect
- Be part of a flexible and supportive workplace including benefits such as 3 days Wellbeing Leave
- Access the support of Cultural Supervision for First Nations staff

CRC works with some of the state’s most stigmatised and marginalised people, and we are dedicated to providing them with the help they need. While our work can sometimes be challenging, the rewards are significant.

**To join us, you’ll need**:

- Experience and skills in the provision of trauma-informed care
- Knowledge and experience of working with women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with complex needs including mental illness, cognitive impairment, AOD substance misuse/recovery, and challenging behaviours.
- A current NSW Driver Licence
- A current NSW Working with Children Check and Criminal Record Check (please note, a criminal record is not a barrier to being considered for a role with CRC)
- Demonstrated cultural competency and knowledge of issues relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and CALD communities
- Knowledge and skills relating to child development, current child protection issues and legislation.
- Identify as female
- The unrestricted right to work in Australia

**How to apply**:
