About the Role
In the role of Maintenance Officer, you will work closely with the General Manager and care team to ensure our facility operates smoothly. You will conduct regular maintenance and repairs to ensure all equipment and facilities are in excellent working order. In addition you will need to:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities Ensure the home meets all health, safety, and environmental regulations Manage preventative maintenance and address issues promptly Coordinate with external contractors and service providers as neededA typical day as a Maintenance Officer includes:
Maintaining plant, equipment, building, and services to the highest standard Keeping up-to-date records of all chemicals in use and ensure compliance with safety best practices Maintaining the grounds in a neat and tidy manner, including garden beds and overall landscaping Identifying and performing preventative maintenance, ensuring all maintenance is actioned within legal requirements and documented in the relevant registers Providing excellent customer service to residents, staff, and visitorsAbout you
General hands-on maintenance or handyman skills, including painting and garden maintenance
Experience in the supervision or coordination of maintenance programs
Current First Aid & CPR certificate
Familiarity with gardening equipment and general knowledge of garden maintenance is preferred
Excellent customer service skills and a proactive approach
Strong computer literacy skills
Experience using maintenance management systems (desirable)
