The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping and Laundry Officer to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional cleaning and housekeeping services that promote resident wellbeing.

The successful candidate will:

  1. Provide a safe, clean, and quality home environment that supports person-centred care.
  2. Ensure compliance with all State and Regulatory requirements in relation to cleaning and housekeeping services.
  3. Practice and demonstrate the values, mission, vision, policies, and procedures of Regis.
  4. Continuously improve service delivery and self-development.
  5. Meet all laundry requirements each shift.
  6. Work collaboratively as part of a team to provide exceptional support to residents and staff.
  7. Complete reporting and documentation based on Regis policies and procedures.
  8. Engage with residents in a friendly, helpful, and positive manner.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  1. Undertake daily cleaning and housekeeping activities to meet resident needs.
  2. Encourage and empower residents and staff to report cleaning and housekeeping service-related matters.
  3. Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in performing cleaning duties in a large organization.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products.
  • Certificate II in Hospitality.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate desirable.
  • Experience in the safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals.
  • Previous experience in a laundry capacity or commercial laundry.
  • Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, healthcare, or aged care environment.
  • Solid knowledge of cleaning products and safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals.
  • Previous experience working with and using cleaning equipment.
  • A current, satisfactory police certificate.
