The Opportunity
Reporting to the Vice-President (Strategy and Major Projects) and Vice-Chancellor’s Chief of Staff, the Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) provides foresight and leadership for the delivery of transformational University-wide projects aligned to the achievement of Monash’s goals as outlined in Impact 2030. With a visionary and collaborative approach, the CTO constructively challenges the Monash Group to embrace the change required to ensure it continues to deliver world-class teaching, learning, research and student experience outcomes.
As a priority, the new CTO will bring continued focus, vision and leadership to the Student Management System transformation program, which upon implementation will bring impactful and best-in-class outcomes to Monash and its students.
The Successful Candidate
An energetic, dynamic and collaborative leader with the confidence and experience to engage with a broad range of stakeholders, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
- An extensive and successful record of leadership and implementation experience in a large, complex, entrepreneurial and international organisation;
- Expert navigation of complex issues involving areas such as legal, risk, HR and policy, and the application of policy frameworks and governance in project implementation;
- Outstanding financial and technological acumen with proven experience in effectively managing the processes and structures necessary to control significant budgets; and
- A highly collegial and collaborative approach, well-developed diplomacy, communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to deftly manage a broad span of duties and a wide range of stakeholders.
