Committed to maintaining the cleanliness and sustainability of our community. As part of our Waste Management and Disposal Department, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our Refuse Disposal Facility (RDF) in Werribee.

Position Objective:

As a Multi Skilled Plant Operator, you'll be responsible for operating various types of plant and equipment to support landfill and transfer station operations. From dozers and excavators to front end loaders and articulated dump trucks, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of machinery while contributing to our waste diversion efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate plant and equipment to facilitate landfill and transfer station operations.
  • Conduct pre-start checks, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment.
  • Document and report equipment defects to minimize downtime.
  • Recover recyclable materials to maximize waste diversion from landfill.
  • Direct customers and vehicles on-site to ensure efficient and safe access.
  • Maintain site cleanliness and undertake housekeeping activities.
  • Follow approved plans, schedules, and safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • Front End Loader ticket is a MUST.
  • Excavator license is a must.
