Are you a highly skilled and motivated accounting professional looking for a critical role in finance? Based in Sydney, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team and take on responsibilities that include ensuring accurate statutory and group actual reported books, providing financial technical advice, and optimizing accounting processes and tools.

Specific responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Support in the preparation of statutory and group actual reported books, ensuring compliance with local and group requirements
  • Optimize the quality of accounting processes and tools in line with group guidelines and internal control requirements
  • Manage the relationship with external stakeholders, including auditors
  • Conduct regular balance sheet reviews and challenge risk provision assessments
  • Ensure timely reconciliation between Tax, Local GAAP, and Group accounts

About You

You’re highly driven individual, you’ve a digital mindset with great learning agility and you’re focused on finding opportunities and ways to optimise work processes. You have sound experience of accounting fundamentals. You thrive to act as a partner with business by delivering financial analysis and help the business in achieving profitable growth.

In addition, you possess the following relevant skills and attributes

  • Local accounting/tax qualification
  • CPA or CA certification
  • Process-oriented with a focus on compliance and internal control
  • Technical knowledge of IFRS and country accounting (both statutory and tax)
  • Capacity to understand both local and global perspectives from a statutory standpoint
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
