About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Surgical Services Division as an Elective Surgery Booking Officer, where you will be responsible for:
- Providing a comprehensive, friendly and patient focused service to patients waiting for elective procedures.
- Undertaking accurate, comprehensive and confidential data entry of patients being waitlisted for elective procedures.
- Plan and programme elective lists to ensure maximum theatre utilisation and patient flow with consideration to equipment requirements, Length of Stay (LOS) and age.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to:
- Sound communication skills, both written and verbal including appropriate telephone etiquette.
- Demonstrated competency in word processing, excel, power point, e-mail and scheduler.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Understanding patient rights and responsibilities and confidentiality
- Previous experience in an administrative role requiring the use of Microsoft Office Suite application such as but not limited to Excel, Work and Outlook.
