Trade Relationship & Procurement Manager

Are you an experienced tradesperson with expertise in building relationships with trades and procuring supplies? UBS is looking for a full-time Trade Relationship & Procurement Manager to join our team at the Carrum Downs office. This newly created role is essential for managing, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with our extensive network of external trade partners, while negotiating the best rates with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture long-term, positive relationships with external trade partners, fostering trust and mutual benefit.
  • Engage with external trades through relationship-building activities, contributing to project success.
  • Lead the procurement process for new suppliers, ensuring a diverse and reliable vendor network.
  • Review and analyze trade utilization and performance to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing strategies.
  • Oversee and manage internal trade teams, ensuring optimal scheduling and resource allocation to meet project deadlines and KPIs.
  • Negotiate rates and terms with contractors and suppliers, securing competitive pricing while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the Business Support team on trade contracts, WHS, and Period Trade Contracts.
  • Develop and maintain regular reporting cycles to monitor trade performance, track progress against KPIs, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with trade partners through regular face-to-face meetings, virtual communications, and email updates.

Attitude, Skills, and Experience:

  • Proven success in customer service, account management, project management, or sales
  • Commercially minded with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Proficient in data analysis and understanding its impact on the customer journey.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Strong presentation and organizational skills.
