This newly established role at UBS is pivotal in managing, developing, and maintaining robust relationships with both our internal trade teams and our extensive external trade network. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in fostering and nurturing relationships with both new and existing trade partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain strong, collaborative relationships with our internal trades, ensuring they are supported, and their performance is optimised.
  • Work closely with the Business Support team which manages trade contracts, WHS and Period Trade Contracts
  • Build and maintain positive, long-term relationships with external trade partners, fostering trust and mutual benefit.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and analysis of trade utilisation and performance to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for enhanced efficiency.
  • Provide day-to-day oversight and management of internal trade teams, ensuring optimal scheduling and resource allocation to meet project deadlines and KPI’s
  • Engage with external trades through relationship building activities, fostering strong, collaborative partnerships that contribute to the success of our projects.
  • Lead the procurement process for new suppliers, ensuring that we have a diverse and reliable network of vendors to meet our operational needs.
  • Negotiate rates and fees with both existing and new contractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining high-quality service standards.
  • Negotiate contract rates and terms, ensuring that service level agreements are met and that key performance indicators (KPIs) are achieved consistently.
  • Develop and maintain regular reporting and review cycles to monitor trade performance, track progress against KPI’s, and identify areas of improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with trade partners through regular face-to-face meetings, virtual communications, and email updates, ensuring open lines of communication and mutual understanding.

Attitude, Skills and Experience

  • Have a demonstrated history of success in roles such as customer service, account management, project management, marketing, or sales, or come from a technical background and are looking to move into a different kind of role utilizing their existing skills.
  • Are commercially minded with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Have proficiency in data analysis and an ability to understand its impact on the customer journey.
  • Hold excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Are highly organized with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Possess strong presentation and organizational skills.
