Leading Australian Fintech, requires a strong Financial Modeller / FP&A Analyst for a fixed-term 3 month contract. On-site project, requiring an immediate start date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive three-way financial model for FY25, integrating income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement projections to provide a holistic view of the company's financial performance.
  • Utilise advanced financial modelling techniques to incorporate various scenarios and sensitivities, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Conduct in-depth variance analysis to understand deviations from forecasts and identify opportunities for performance improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather data, assumptions, and insights for accurate financial forecasting and reporting.
  • Assist the CEO in evaluating strategic initiatives through rigorous financial analysis and scenario modelling.
  • Utilise Power BI to visualise financial data and create interactive dashboards for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics derived from the financial model.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA qualification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), with a strong emphasis on building complex financial models.
  • Expertise in financial modelling software (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and proficiency in translating business requirements into functional models.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial metrics, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Australian Business Number (ABN)
