ING Australia is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Mortgages team to define and execute on the requirements and solution needed to delivery Originations transformation.

The Senior Business Analyst will have the opportunity to work on a large-scale transformative program and be responsible for ensuring business requirements are clearly interpreted into language that is easily understood by both a business and technical audience.

On a day-to-day basis the candidate will drive workshops with stakeholders across the business, vendor and technology teams to capture and document requirements. The candidate is expected to be capable of analysing large amounts of information from different sources and condensing it into clear and succinct project delivery artefacts. These artefacts include, but not limited to Customer Journeys, Process Maps and User Stories, which will be used by the Delivery Squads to build the needed APIs, micro-services and other applications/systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive workshops with stakeholders across the business, vendor and technology teams to capture and document requirements
  • Define requirements to enable business processes and validate with business stakeholders
  • Support the Service Designer, Product Owner, Customer Journey Expert and/or delivery team with the development of user stories
  • Clearly define and document requirements that support business objectives
  • Provide  assistance to various business units with respect to product/system/process queries

What We’re Looking For

  • 3-5+ years as a Senior Business Analyst within financial services
  • Worked in an Agile or hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) environment. Participated in the creation of project artefacts and participated in all agile ceremonies
  • Strong understanding of key lending / mortgage processes, systems and tools from an origination and/or servicing perspective
  • An understanding of business objectives and processes in a complex environment and can ensure these are clearly reflected into requirements that conform to defined principles
  • The ability to define business processes that need to be developed or automated to allow the use of the new or updated systems to be used by the business
  • The ability to create, modify (existing) or identify changes to process flows of the new or updated systems, together with feature engineers, technical leads and architects.
