Grade 2 Physiotherapist - Workforce Support Position 

  • Full time/Part time (64hrs-80hrs/fortnight), fixed term position Oct 2024
  • Based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital City and Royal Park campuses
  • Provide Physiotherapy service, clinical supervision and education of students and junior Physiotherapists

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Physiotherapy service is made up of 120 staff providing services across the City Campus in Parkville and the Royal Park Campus. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy service. 

This position will provide the successful applicant opportunities to gain experience working in a well-supported multi-disciplinary team environment with a wide variety of acute and sub-acute clients across the Physiotherapy service. This role involves the provision of physiotherapy service, supervision and education of student and junior physiotherapists. This role will work within the Workforce Support team across acute to subacute and community services as required.

Your new role:

  • Competently and independently assess, treat and manage patients across the health continuum.
  • Work across a variety of wards/caseloads.
  • Prioritise clinical load based on daily demand. 
  • Be flexible to meet the clinical and workforce needs of the physiotherapy department.

About You:

  • You are an experienced Physiotherapist with broad based Physiotherapy skills.
  • You have well-developed communication skills with a strong ability to develop relationships with relevant team members from Allied Health, Nursing and Medical teams.
  • You demonstrate effective time management and organisational skills.
  • You have previous experience with supervision of staff and students.
