Join our Cairns Depot in a full time role as a Trade Assistant providing support to our Workshop Tradesman. As a part of the team you will be focused on ensuring our fleet is maintained to the highest standard. The role is ideal for a motivated and driven individual that is looking to break into the Heavy Vehicle industry and has a passion for learning in a collaborative and supportive team. 

What you will being doing:

  • Assisting our team of mechanics to complete minor electrical repairs, panel beating repairs, washing our fleet, and ad-hoc tasks as required.
  • Working within the wider yard to ensure our fleet is up to a high standard – reporting any damage or repairs to the team. 
  • Joining a supportive and collaborative team that prides itself on the work they do and the culture they create. 
  • Working Monday to Friday 6:30am - 2:30pm with overtime available.

Qualifications

 

  • What you will bring to the team: 

    • Having knowledge or interest in the mechanical space is highly advantageous. 
    • Experience in a similar role is preferred.
    • Current manual drivers’ licence is highly desired.
    • A positive mind set with the openness to learn.
