About The Opportunity

Programmed Building Projects are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Canberra. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a high-performing team that provides end-to-end management services for a variety of building, property and infrastructure projects with a focus on refurbishments, fit-outs and remedial work for Aged Care, Education and the Government. In this role, you will oversee all safety, contractors and customer communications while providing first-class customer experiences to our clientele.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full-Time

Location: Canberra

Reporting line: Branch Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee estimating and quoting for existing and potential work
  • Organise and schedule subcontractors and internal labour for the projects
  • Arrange all materials and equipment for site
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and to budget
  • Ability to cross-sell opportunities and win additional work
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and profitable project delivery for the team

About You

To be successful in this role, ideally you will have experience managing site-based teams with a background in carpentry or the building industry preferred and be driven to deliver exceptional results. Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

  • Previous experience with refurbishments and fit-outs preferred
  • Current Driver’s License
  • First-class stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
  • Strong negotiation and sales skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others
