About the Role
Exciting new opportunity with the expansion of the theatre leadership team at Northern beaches Hospital.
The Interventional Suite has 14 state-of-the-art operating theatres including a hybrid theatre & a cardiothoracic theatre; 2 Cardiac Catheter Labs; 4 Procedure Rooms; 41 bed Recovery Unit; Anaesthetics Service and state of the art Sterilising Services Department.
As the Clinical Coordinator for Anaesthetic/PACU services you will support the NUM Anaesthetics/PACU by providing day to day operational direction for the service ensuring efficient and effective coordination for optimal operating theatre efficiency. You will work with all staff and anaesthetists for the provision of services in a timely, efficient and safe manner. You will provide hands on nursing care when required.
As an aspiring leader you will also possess the following skills and attributes:
· Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
· Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
· Postgraduate qualification in relative field of speciality or working towards
· Minimum 3 years' experience in perioperative services
· Extensive clinical skills and experience working in a perioperative suite with 10 or more theatres undertaking complex surgical procedures
· Passion for quality/performance/process improvement initiative
· Coach, mentor, supervise and provide preceptorship
· High level of planning and organising skills
· Well-developed oral and written communication
· High degree of computer literacy
· Prior experience in the private healthcare system will be well regarded

If successful. you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024, a salary of $62.46 per hour.
