Position: Controller
Location: Hybrid role based at our site in Liverpool, supporting our plant in New Zealand. Reporting to the CFO Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support business decision-making.
- Conduct regular cost analysis to capture manufacturing costs accurately, identify areas for improvement, and optimize costs.
- Own the month-end closing process and business forecasting.
- Adhere to Prysmian Group reporting timetable and ensure all required financial data is provided on time.
- Lead the month-end close process, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet management and reporting to HQ.
- Supervise monthly stock reconciliation and minimize adjustments.
- Coordinate the full-year budgeting process.
- Perform monthly and quarterly financial forecasting.
- Partner with Operations/Supply Chain to drive effective cost control and support decision-making.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests during half and full year.
- Roll out product costing on a monthly/yearly basis.
Qualifications:
- CPA / CA Qualified
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting)
- Experience working with manufacturing companies
- Proficiency in SAP modules FI, CO, MM (Mandatory)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Business Intelligence Platforms
- Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge and application of accounting ‘best practices’
