What you’ll do:

Build, blend and implement individual address and catastrophe natural peril pricing models such as cyclone, bushfire, earthquake, flood, hail, storm, demand surge & underinsurance.Use a combination of data science, environmental scientific research, insurance claim experience and external expertise to develop above natural peril models.Formally track the effectiveness of price changes performed.Understand impacts of pricing changes such as; premium change impacts on new business, renewal, lapse, cancellation rates, concentration risk, and reinsurance.Respond to and engage with multiple functions of the business to share pricing knowledge and provide information around natural peril risk and claims experience.Understand, formulate and prepare portfolio business case impact analysis and recommendations for key business stakeholders.

What you’ll bring:

Desirable academic backgrounds include actuarial studies, data science, climate science and other analytics backgrounds.Strong academic track recordStrong analytical skillsBasic exposure to programming such as SAS, Python, R, Excel and relational databasesStrong verbal and written communication skillsMotivation to build positive and constructive working relationships with key stakeholdersStrong project and time managementAbility to break complex problems down into simplified components
