About the role

It is the Assistant Manager that helps bring this to life by influencing our teams to provide quality customer service in order to maximise sales and motivate outstanding customer service to our customers.  You will be a key team support both when the store manager is present or absent.  You will coach and develop the next leaders in our business. 

Some of the specifics:

Location: Unley Shopping Centre 204 Unley Road, Unley SA 5061

Store Hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 9:00AM to 5:30 PM, Thursday 9:00AM to 7:00PM

Saturday 9:00AM to 5:00PM Sunday Closed

Duties

  • Coach Customer Advisors day-to-day for the delivery of sales and customer experience targets.

  • In the absence of the Store Manager you will own and guide the store to ensure a seamless transition.

  • Oversee the induction and ongoing training of new team members.

  • Execute business initiatives to meet and achieve store targets for each quarter of the financial year by setting and tracking monthly sales and customer experience targets.

  • Guide the store’s performance to achieve sales and customer experience targets.

  • Initiate the store’s compliance against central operating standards and processes and preside over productive operational excellence.

  • Resolve basic and complex store level customer complaints.

  • Ensure adherence the agreed customer sales model within the store.

  • Organise the shop floor to supervise customer flow and store traffic.

  • Supervise staff to customer demand and operational requirements.

  • Coach and develop the next group of leaders for our stores.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience influencing people in a retail environment

  • Outstanding communication skills

  • Advanced appreciation of customer needs and proficient in resolving customer issues

  • Proven track record working within a productive, high-pace, customer-orientated retail environment

  • Advanced ability to successfully create and execute business improvement initiatives, and support the change agenda in store

  • Ability to successfully execute against key metrics (financial and customer)

  • Ability to successfully create and action store improvement opportunities
