Your Role: As our Fundraising & Events Coordinator, you’ll be at the forefront of DCC’s national and local fundraising efforts. Working closely with the Community & Events Lead, you’ll drive campaigns, engage communities, and orchestrate events like our annual gala dinner and the annual book festival.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate diverse fundraising initiatives spanning community outreach, school programs, and targeted appeals.
  • Foster strong partnerships with our Dymocks stores to boost fundraising campaigns.
  • Assist in crafting and executing communication strategies to amplify engagement.
  • Organize and manage pivotal DCC events that leave a lasting impression.
  • Secure generous donations and prizes to elevate our fundraising impact.
  • Provide crucial administrative support across fundraising and event operations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
  • Maintain meticulous donor records using Salesforce CRM for effective fundraising.

Your Background:

  • Minimum one year’s experience in fundraising, events, or community engagement within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
  • Proficiency in creating compelling presentations for sponsors and events.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passionate about social justice and making a difference in children’s lives.

What You Need:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CRM experience, preferably Salesforce.
