About the Company:
Our client is a leading provider for alternative investments. With a global presence, their successful track record spans over 20years in providing innovative solutions for investors. Due to growth in their Sydney office, we are partnering with them on an exclusive basis to hire an Associate.
The successful candidate will be part of the Asian client servicing team working primarily with the business development team in Australia but also supporting the Asia-Pacific region as needed. This will cover both institutional (largely Private Equity) and wholesale client segments across all asset classes and strategies.

About the role:
Working closely with the Country Head, you will gain exposure right across the business in many of its most critical functions such as client transactions, client support and investment product development. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Act as internal support for various sales and client related activities
  • Proactive client service tasks including the creation and delivery of regular client reporting requests
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from clients and prospective clients and provide support to client relationship managers across various public and private market offerings
  • Ensure proactive and regular contact with existing clients
  • Work closely with offshore business units across investment management, investment controlling, legal and compliance teams to ensure consistent communication and data output
  • Develop and produce portfolio performance reports and related communications to clients
  • Assist the preparation of client presentations and portfolio reporting
  • Assist with completion of RFP’s and RFI’s
  • Work with global investment teams to support development of client solutions
  • Work within broader Asia-Pacific client service team by providing back up as needed; and
  • Participate in projects as needed

About the successful candidate:

  • University degree
  • At least 3 years of working experience in a similar role, preferably within investment management
  • A solid knowledge of alternative investments is a plus – particularly Private Equity and closed end funds
  • Native language skills in English is essential. Proficiency in an Asian language (speaking, reading and writing) is welcomed
  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills (data analysis, numerical skills, problem solving etc.)
  • Excellent MS office skills, particularly excel
  • Self-starter, highly motivated with an international mindset
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Pro-active and motivated team player
