Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic red trucks to deliver for customers? As our MC Truck Driver and Yard Hand based in Townsville, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that 
This role involved yard and Mail Centre duties as well as a truck relief roster covering runs from Townsville to Mackay and Townsville to Cairns which includes both day and night shifts. Flexibility is required and penalty rates apply along with a daily tonnage allowance of $23.06.  A forklift licence is desirable in this role.

You’ll be  

  • Safely loading your truck with cages for delivery  
  • Carrying out relief regional runs
  • Completing Yard and Mail Centre duties
  • Completing your own daily vehicle safety check   
  • Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups   
  • Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups

You’ll also need to    

  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident  
  • MC licenced and Forklift licence is advantageous  
  • Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility  
  • Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills  
  • You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 120kgs or less 
  • Be fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes and weights  
  • Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
