About the Role
The purpose and function of the Claims & Assessing Division is to manage the Claims Process in order to control costs while providing our customers with a seamless and easy customer journey. Our aim is to provide prompt service with personal attention to all our customers and at the same time remain vigilant in the management of incurred costs.
The Continuous Improvement Delivery Team’s purpose is to;
- Ensure delivery of initiatives with project & change management expertise
- Work with the business to deliver problem definition and solution design with business and process Analysis expertise
- Enable every member of the C&A team to understand the skills and processes required to implement change successfully in the Business
- Deliver excellence in day to day operational support
Reporting to the Change Delivery Manager, Shared Services, Continuous Improvement, the Project Manager will support the Claims & Assessing leadership team through the management of change initiatives utilising project and change management principles as well as providing advice and support. This should all be done whilst ensuring they maintain a focus on delivering exceptional service to our internal customers.
Position Accountabilities
- Applying departmental change and delivery process project manage delivery of system, process and/or cultural changes ensuring:

- Each project has a clearly defined scope, including objectives and quality outcomes.
- Project deliverables meet the project goals and objectives, delivering the agreed business outcomes.
- Project documentation as per departmental templates as relevant to the specific project, including planning and resource requests
- Proactive, timely and transparent communication to stakeholders at all levels with effective escalation management to ensure a sense of urgency in delivery is maintained.
- Managing the work output and coaching any resources allocated to the project.
- Change management to fully engage teams potentially impacted by, or impacting a change
- Documenting and/or ensuring documentation of processes ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ to understand gaps
- Business analysis (where applicable) to identify system requirements based on the business requirements
- Ongoing monitoring of changes post implementation to ensure they are successful and benefits realisation is optimised. Where necessary, facilitate any fixes or additional enhancements that may be required
- Post implementation reviews that measure outcomes against objectives and disseminate any key learning’s across the organisation
- Provide Project & Change Management Support to the Claims & Assessing leadership team, as required. This may include provision of advice, assistance in managing key processes and documentation.
- Contribute to team development and continuous improvement of delivery through mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing forums.

- Identify and report potential risks or inadequate controls related to compliance or operational risks.
- Champion a culture of risk and compliance across the division
- Maintain awareness, understanding and compliance with Company policies and procedures, including the on-time completion of mandatory training.
Qualifications & experience
- Project and Change Management Experience with evidence of successful business delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
- A superior level of attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work autonomously while maintaining focus
Desirable
- Certified in a Formal Project Management Methodology (e.g. Agile Practitioner, Prince2 practitioner, PMI Project Management Professional)
- Experience in managing external suppliers
- Experience in requirements gathering and business analysis, especially in relation to system enhancements
- An understanding of the Claims & Assessing operation
