Position Overview:
We are seeking for a compassionate and dedicated Food Service Attendants/Catering Assistants to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring our residents enjoy nutritious and satisfying meals in a supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing foods, including texture-modified options to cater to individual dietary needs.
- Providing tray service to residents with attention to their preferences and requirements.
- Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen and dining areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Working independently to perform various kitchen tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Delivering excellent customer service to enhance residents' dining experiences.
- Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices in accordance with regulations.
Key Requirements:
- Holds a Food Handling Certificate/Food Safety Certificate or similar
- Up to date vaccination history (2024 Flu Vaccination & Covid 19 Vaccination, 3 doses)
- Holds a valid employment Police Check
- Previous experience in food service, preferably in Aged Care or a similar environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
- A compassionate attitude towards residents and a genuine desire to improve their quality of life.
