The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Field Delivery Team Leader to join our Networks team in Kidman Park SA, on a Permanent Fulltime basis.

Reporting to the Field Delivery Manager, you will be leading a team of Field Delivery personnel and responsible for project delivery in the field, in accordance with health, safety and environment (HSE) requirements, quality, technical compliance, and work practice consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct field delivery personnel, contractors and other stakeholders plus coaching, mentoring and technical support to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes and BAU activities
  • Supervise project delivery in accordance with APA Policies & Procedures, legislative requirements, and relevant quality frameworks
  • Field Change Management, project delivery risk assessment and implement operational initiatives and procedural changes
  • Assist the Project Manager in preparing accurate project cost estimates for Complex Projects and prepare costs for Simple Projects and BAU where required
  • Maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with APA teams and all external stakeholders

Your background

  • At a minimum a trade certificate in a related field is preferable
  • Strong supervisory experience in the gas industry, preferably in operations and maintenance
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance
  • Good communicator with the ability to motivate and lead a team and manage contractors
  • Proven ability to plan, schedule and prioritise work

About the Team

Networks manages and operates transmission pipelines and local distribution networks that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.

This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including 2032 Olympics. Also, we have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.
