Appointment Pool

Standards and Integrity is seeking to establish a pool of Senior Assessment Officers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2024 and up to the end of June 2025. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within 2024, up to the end of June 2025.

The Senior Assessment Officer is required to independently assess complaints and notifications made to the Standards and Integrity Directorate, including sensitive and complex matters, making considered recommendations for resolution with respect to Departmental Policies and Procedures.

The position mentors and provides guidance to Assessment Officers in order to resolve complaints and notifications in a timely manner.

As a Senior Assessment Officer, you will ideally display exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate outcomes to a broad range of stakeholders in relation to concerns of misconduct.

The position manages a demanding and varied caseload and actively collaborate with other areas of the Department to influence and support strategic directions of the Professional Standards and Conduct Division.

Demonstrated substantial skills and experience in, and knowledge of, complaints and investigation policy, procedures and regulatory frameworks within a public sector environment. Demonstrated high-level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with individuals at all levels and within a team environment. Demonstrated high-level conceptual and analytical skills with the ability to apply innovative solutions to complex problems. Demonstrated highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills, including the commitment to provide a quality customer service.
