The Opportunity: 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Consultant to join the Urbis Economics & Property business unit and become an integral part of our close-knit, high performing team. 

You will be a trusted advisor to our clients, providing advice on a range of matters and projects in the retail, residential mixed-use, and other property sectors. There will be a strong focus on research, modelling and report writing.

This role will deliver client work and build client relationships, contributing to driving the ongoing profitable business growth and development of our Queensland Economics & Property offering.

The Role:  

  • Conducting comprehensive field research and data analysis
  • Utilising economic tools for qualitative and quantitative assessments e.g., Cost-benefit analysis, economic impact assessments, project feasibility studies
  • Assisting in consulting assignments and property advice delivery.
  • Processing data using a suite of software including Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, QGIS, and Python
  • Preparing presentations and drafting client reports.
  • Innovating every day though developing new means of collating, processing, and presenting impactful data.

About You: 

This position would suit someone who has a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with property and consulting background and a combination of the following competencies: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Property Economics, Economics, Urban Planning or a related discipline preferable.
  • Relevant experience, ideally gained in a consultancy environment.
  • Uses decisive and transparent communication to keep team and clients informed of progress.
  • Demonstrates advanced written and verbal communication skills including producing well written and insightful reports as well as confidence in presenting to internal and external clients.
  • Providing constructive and timely feedback to the team to try out new ideas and opportunities in support of their development.
