About the role
The Allied Health Assistant- (Permanent Position) is a valued member of the Physiotherapy Team and broader Allied Health Team. This role will enable continued growth to our agile team, ensuring staff coverage across acute and subacute admitted services. There may be elements of this position that are across the disciplines (particularly in our Emergency Department); however the predominant work will be alongside our team of Physiotherapists. We are seeking friendly, flexible, team orientated candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exciting opportunity.

MANDATORY CRITERIA

  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or currently completing certificate.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, independently and unsupervised.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrated ability to support patients / clients in their acquisition of new skills.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to contribute to program development and implementation of new initiatives.
  • Demonstrated basic understanding and knowledge of health and safety issues in the workplace.
  • Sound basic computer skills and a willingness to develop skills in the use of a range of technology systems as / if relevant to the position. 

Employment Type: This is a flexible FTE opportunity with up to full time available- job share will also be considered.
