About the opportunity

Work for one of the Yarra Valley's most iconic venues and take pride in managing a segment in the business that is thriving in the events space.

The venue is situated in the entrance of the valley and has multiple casual to premium offerings including a bistro and events space.
After years of success they are now considered as one of the main go-to food and beverage destinations in the valley.

As a Sous Chef at this venue you will play a supporting role in maintaining an excellent reputation for the events segment of their business - our client has a very versatile property that is idyllic place for weddings, bespoke events, and corporate events. 

The venue has dedicate events kitchen team so you will be part of a respected team that is ready to take on the fast approaching busy season.

The candidate

  • Previous Sous Chef experience is required in order to be considered, ideally a Chef who is skilled in both casual dining and events
  • Standout communication and time management skills who is able to organise kitchen teams so high level execution is carried out for every event
  • Ability to work with successful menu portfolio that will require occasional creative change
  • You know how to adapt and work with Chefs of all levels, from managing up to Executive Chefs to inspiring future star Chefs
  • Experience managing stock, ordering and assisting with rosters is desirable but not essential
