Joining the Journey Beyond family, you will play an integral role in supporting our business as we continue to share special places and shape lasting memories for our guests.

About You

We are seeking someone with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills (retail agents, wholesale agents, , State tourism Organisations, Local peak industry tourism bodies and more), strong written and verbal communications skills and professional personal presentation. This comes from having previous experience in sales and/or Business Development environment.

You will love interpreting data and building strong stakeholder relationships and enjoy contributing positively to team culture.

Ideally you will also have post-graduate qualification in Tourism.

About The Role

Reporting to the Group Manager, International Sales, you will be responsible for developing and diversifying business to increase revenue, leveraging international opportunities and future growth of all Journey Beyond brands within the Inbound (ITO) and Americas markets. While, also working alongside the GM International Sales in a support role.

This position is also tasked with ensuring growth through approved campaigns and activities, in alignment with the strategic plan.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
  • Writing business proposals, cooperative marketing proposals and drafting & reviewing contracts
  • Researching new business opportunities and viable income streams
  • Following industry trends locally and internationally
  • Set and agree annual sales targets for all key accounts for each Journey Beyond business
  • Undertake periodic market analysis and identify new potential industry and non-travel industry partners, secure the promotion of Journey Beyond products to their customers.
  • ROI reporting for strategic campaigns
  • Represent Journey Beyond and Journey Beyond Companies at relevant Consumer and Trade Shows
  • Develop a sales expenses budget to support the agreed promotional calendar

Based in our Adelaide Corporate Office and part of the Industry Sales and Partnerships team, this position requires frequent national and international travel.
