Each staff member undergoes a rigorous selection process, guaranteeing they possess the necessary skills, expertise, and genuine dedication to hospitality. We are seeking a skilled and passionate chef de partie to manage a specific area of our kitchen, called a station, and is responsible for all activities in that area:
- Food preparation: Prepares, cooks, and presents dishes within their specialty
- Team management: Supervises and trains commis chefs and demi-chef de parties
- Quality control: Ensures food is prepared to the chef's standard and that food hygiene and health and safety rules are followed
- Budgeting: Monitors portion and waste control to keep within budget
- Kitchen maintenance: Keeps the kitchen clean and operational, which may include cleaning after and between meals
- New dish development: Helps the sous chef and catering manager develop new dishes and menus
Chef de Partie Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of culinary experience
- Culinary training or apprenticeship certification a plus
- Knowledge of menu creation
- Able to maintain cost and quality standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven culinary catering talent
- Able to work effectively under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
