The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UX Researcher to lead our user research initiatives and provide valuable insights that inform the design and development of our client products.

Our Consultants work closely with our clients, bringing their wide range of expertise and consulting acumen to a business. The variety of work consulting brings will expose you to a wide range of business domains and industries. You won't just do – you help educate the client and guide them to successful outcomes.

Being a consultant means that you will develop your experience and confidence to consult with clients beyond just a focus on delivery.

You'll be helping clients on strategic initiatives and identify future opportunities while being supported by our leadership team.

Who you are

  • 5+ years experience as a UX designer or researcher with a portfolio or case studies of projects you've worked
  • Expertise in a range of research methodologies, such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, card sorting.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyse and synthesise complex data to extract actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to effectively convey research findings to diverse stakeholders.
  • Value Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate user research insights into the design and development process.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to different ways of working
  • Agency or consultancy experience is preferable
  • Based in Melbourne

Responsibilities

Define research strategy by establishing objectives, selecting appropriate methodologies, and planning and executing research studies.

Conduct user research including user interviews, surveys, usability tests, and ethnographic studies, to uncover user needs, behaviors, and pain points.

Deliver research artefacts such as user personas, user journey maps, and other artifacts that inform and guide design decisions.

Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in user research and advocate for their integration into our research processes.

Mentor and guide junior researchers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth within the consultancy.
