Fuse Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Food Production Supervisor to work day shift, Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm paying $43 p/hr + Super.
 
Our client is an industry leader in the Chinese food manufacturing and FMCG industries. Supplying Nationwide as well as internationally.

The Role: Food Production Supervisor

In this role you will supervise a team of three food production workers. This is a Chinese Speaking role so you will need to be able to speak Mandarin / Cantonese to be successful in obtaining this role.  
This facility manufactures, dry, chilled and frozen Chinese food products including meat and poultry.

Your main duties will involve:

  • Supervise effective working of production personnel and prepare effective production schedules and ensure compliance to all company policies.
  • Administer all work according to quality and food safety principles and recommend strategies to improve processes and reduce goals.
  • Maximize efficiency of the factory and minimize material wastage.
  • Monitor bill of materials per production batch.
  • Manage process staff schedule and leaves administratively and ensure no effect to production.
  • Ensure compliance to all local policies to achieve all production objectives and provide appropriate feedback to all employees.
  •  Analyse staffing requirements and ensure efficient compliance to production schedules and budget for all production process.
  • Identify all issues in team and provide continuous support to all members according to operating standards on everyday basis.
  • Ensuring all plant SOPs and production forms are completed and ensure compliance to product specification.
  • Mitigation of process and product deviation in operations
  • Conducting team meetings providing information relevant to factory performance, section, and company update
  • Striving to develop a culture of respect, care, and professionalism
  • Develop and maintain effective relations with all company employees at various levels of organization.
  • Ensuring risks to health and safety are controlled and monitored in accordance with company processes and schedules

Shift Available:

  • Day:
  • 8am – 4:30pm
  • Monday to Friday
  • $43 p/hr

The Candidates:
To be successful in obtaining this role you will have the following experience:

  • You must be able to speak Mandarin / Cantonese
  • Previous Supervisory experience in a food production environment
  • Handling meat and poultry in a food manufacturing environment
  • Working in a cold environment dealing with the prepping and making of RAW food products on a fast-paced line.
  • Ability to follow directions and work in a safe manner.
  • Food production machine operating experience and troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of GMP and HACCP, food safety and hygiene practices to ensure the highest quality of products.
  • Quality control
  • Production Planning
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • A Passion for process improvement
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
  • Lifting up to 25 kgs

Advantageous

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications
  • Experience with Dynamics 365
  • Forklift License
  • Having come from Chinese Food Manufacturing
