The role:
The Biosecurity (Weeds) Officer is responsible for effective and efficient delivery of effective priority species control programs and management. Core activities of the Officer include undertaking inspections, education & advocacy programs in collaboration with the State government & landowners and delivering timely and accurate reporting on outbreaks of invasive species within the region, such that Council meets its obligations under the Biosecurity Act 2015.

- Weekly Salary: Grade 5, $1269.77 (excludes Super)
About you:
- Experience in a similar role including experience in priority and nuisance weed identification
- Certificate in Weed Management (DPI Endorsement) or equivalent
- EM Training Biosecurity emergencies (DPI Endorsement)
- Drivers Licence
- ChemCert AQF4 Chemical Accreditation Risk Management
- NSW General Construction Induction card
- Biosecurity Act Authorised Officer Training (or ability to undertake)
