Our client URGENTLY requires a Senior Communications Advisor for a 36 months + Contract in Buderim.
  
The Senior Communications Advisor will coordinate and supervise communication services for our client's significant projects program in the North Coast Region.  The Senior Communications Advisor will lead a team responsible for executive correspondence, issues management, stakeholder relationship management, public affairs, media relations and community engagement.

  
Accountabilities include:

  • Lead, manage and coordinate the region’s executive correspondence, community relations and community engagement programs.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of communications officers across the region, including review and approval of communication material.
  • Provide tactical and operational advice to regional staff on communications issues and strategies, including the development, implementation and resolution of strategies and communication activities.
  • Ensure appropriate governance frameworks are maintained and adhered to in order to monitor compliance with policy, legislation, regulations, standards and procedures.
  • Provide training, advice and support to regional staff, consultants and contractors to enhance communication skills for delivering projects and initiatives.

Experience in a strategic communication or community engagement role in an environment dealing with major infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport or civil engineering sector, will be highly regarded.
