How will I help?

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will assist the Westpac in the delivery of infrastructure for business and end user projects, who performs and leads business analysis tasks primarily within the boundaries of a project and/or program but not limited to. These tasks can be performed from a diverse range of perspectives including Waterfall, Agile, Information Technology and/or business process management

The main responsibilities of the role are: 

  • Leading the achievement of Westpac’s strategy by working with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies, information and systems
  • Defining and managing the requirements through the delivery lifecycle to meet business needs
  • Providing and directing recommendations for process re-design and improvements and business solutions, enabling changes to processes, policy and/or information that support Westpac to achieve targeted business outcomes and deliver business value

What do I need?

  • 5+ years Business Analysis experience in business requirements, system analysis, business process improvement and implementing system changes.
  • 5+ years of business process improvement/re-engineering, data analysis, system functional / non-functional analysis experience and business case preparation experience.
  • 3+ years of Financial industry experience.
  • Experience with trader communication platforms such as IPC Unigy or NTR solutions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with IPC or NICE Voice System environments.
  • Experience in infrastructure projects with a strong understanding of technology and business systems strategically and operationally.
  • Experience in Business domain/systems - Power BI, Power Apps/Automate, Holocentric (value stream mapping
  • CCBA (or equivalent) certification at a minimum
  • Proven ability to lead requirements and business solution workshops with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to independently drive delivery by planning and manage business requirements.

Desirable Skills

  • Understanding of multinational telecommunications systems (IPC, Cloud 9, British Telecom, Avaya, etc)
  • Understanding of Call Recording platforms/technology
  • Dealing Room / Financial Markets exposure
