About the Role

Service Stream's Transport division are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our team. The primary purpose of this role is to manage the delivery of the Specific Maintenance Services Program (SMS), Cyclical and Routine Maintenance Program (RMS/CRMS) and assist with other DIT programs Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time Location: Port Augusta, SA Reporting Line: Maintenance Manager Key Responsibilities: Assist to Provide leadership, strategic direction and guidance to the SMS and CRMS/RMS teams, and other grading programs as well as management of internal and external relationships and contract performance. Delivers timely and high quality SMSs and other annual grading programmed works while achieving value for money, maintaining collaborative working relationships, and providing flexible and responsive services to meet DIT's and other customer needs Liaises with the Managers, the HSEQ Manager, and Supervisors to ensure all services are delivered in accordance with all safety, quality, environmental, budgetary and scheduling requirements Liaises with the stakeholders to develop accurate estimates for SMSs, ensuring market competitiveness costing is obtained from subcontractors and suppliers Ensuring correct cost control & project tracking as per daily progress reports Travel, as required, to the work sites to provide the required engineering guidance and inspections Assist the Maintenance Manager with the management and delivery of SMSs and Annual grading program works in accordance with safety, schedule, budget and quality requirements Assist the Maintenance Manager with the managing the delivery of packages through scheduling and development control; estimating and budgeting; quality plan, control and assurance; document preparation; procurement planning; and works supervision and surveillance Reviews and provides input into resourcing plans for traffic management and safety Ensures appropriate traffic management and safety measures are properly implemented Undertakes contract administration for work packages, including liaison and engagement of subcontractors Assist the Maintenance Manager with Implementing and maintaining proactive risk, safety and environmental management to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and DIT's specifications, resulting in zero harm and a zero TRIFR Ensuring SMSs and Grading Works are competitively priced (against market competitors), with works being awarded to SA Road Services as best value for money Working collaboratively with DIT, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve outstanding SMSs delivery and contract performance Championing local industry and Aboriginal participation to maximise contract opportunities and achieve participation targets Maintaining current and accurate records in the Asset Data System to inform the SMSs, Grading Program and Strategic Asset Management Plan Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation to improve financial performance and pursue delivery efficiency and value for money benefits in SMSs In return Service Stream has a fantastic range of employee benefits to thank our staff for the hard work and dedication they put in every day.
